Cardiac Arrest
When a patient has no pulse, we call this cardiac arrest. It is determined there is no heartbeat creating a palpable pulse.
For this we perform Chest Compressions:
Depth | Adults & Child = 2 inches | Infants = 1.5 inches |
Recoil | Upward motion allowing the heart to refill | Upward motion allowing heart to refill |
Compression: Ventilation Ratio | 30:2 | 2 rescuers Infant/Child 15:2 |
Cycles | 5 | 5 |
Time | 2 | 2 |
Compressions/min | 100 – 120/min | 100-120/min |
